Tubular locks is the English word for radial locks. These are tricky round locks that are commonly found on candy machines, slot machines and small safes. There are a number of different models of tubular locks. These can be identified by the amount of pins used in the lock.

Common types are the 7 pin, the 8 pin and the 10 pin tubular slot. This lockpick is for the 7 pin model.

The lockpick is a round tube with several stems on the side. These stems are used to push down the pins in the radial lock. When you push the lockpick into the lock, the pins offer a lot of resistance. This places the stems of the lockpick at different heights.

When the lockpick is fully pushed into the lock, the stems of the lockpick have the same heights as the key has. This is how you created a new key.
