You guessed it, this tool works by sliding it under the door. It works particularly well on doors with a door handle.
By holding the lever and the ring, the tool is slid under the center of the door and manipulated so that it is vertical to the centerline of the door.
The stretcher then falls on the door handle at an angle. At the bottom of the door, you are still in the middle with the stretcher. The top will fall down.
The top of the stretcher will now be above the door handle and the thin wire on the other side, near the black stretcher.
Pull the ring to bend the black stretcher at the top. The stretcher is pressed down on the lever to open the door.

Very effective tool – a high percentage of institutions are required by law to use the door handle due to mobility issues.
