A latch slider is a thin, flexible tool for opening doors that have fallen shut. This set contains five stainless steel cards with different lengths for various door frames.

The card is slid between the door leaf and the door frame by gently pressing the door leaf inward. The flexible material allows the card to glide easily into the gap. You slide the card to the position of the latch bolt and pull it back. The door springs open.

The spring steel blade has a thickness of 0.8 mm. This makes the tool flexible enough to fit in narrow gaps and sturdy enough to operate the door latch. The rounded edges ensure no scratches are left on the door or frame.

Applications

This tool is designed for situations where a door has fallen shut but is not locked. The different lengths make it possible to work with various depths of door frames.

For stiff door rubbers, sliding spray can make the application easier.
