The Black Flag set includes seven Dimple lock picks and nine tension wrenches, and they are all designed to lockpick for Dimble locks (pinhole cylinders). Dimple locks, or hole cylinders (as we call them), are slightly different from your standard pin cylinder locks. In fact, a pinhole cylinder is core to the small holes or dents (dimples) in the side of the profile of the keys. This is because the pins of this type of lock are on the sides of the cylinder core, rather than on the top or bottom.
You understand that for this reason you need a different type of lockpick set to unlock them. The headers of the Black Flag set are shaped to lockpick the pins of almost all hole cylinders.

Another important detail of the Black Flags are the curves from the handle to the headpiece of the lock picks. This is because the lock picks are all hand-polished by hand. The rounded edges are very important for hole cylinder locks, because you will have to rotate the lock picks in the lock. If the edges are not well polished, you miss that extra precision.
