  1. Insert the card between the door and the door frame.
  2. Make sure to move the card slowly to find the latch. Flip carefully so you don’t cause any damage.
  3. Gently push the lock back with the MICA card.
  4. Open the door and go inside.

It will quickly become clear that these cards are indispensable. An absolute must-have for anyone who wants to be independent of a locksmith.

Why locksmiths choose our flipper cards

Flipper cards are a well-kept secret in the toolbox of a locksmith. The cards are many times more effective than attempts with credit cards or other DIY cards. It is a commonly used method by which doors open within a minute.

Flipper cards are used to open a door when you have locked yourself out. Flipping is all you need to quickly get the door open again. It is easier to use than you might think.

The latch that keeps a door locked can be pressed in, allowing the door to open. The small gap between the door and the frame provides space for our flipper cards. With a special technique, you can flip the door open again.

The Unique Benefits of MICA Flipper Cards

MICA is an extremely flexible yet strong material. Flipper cards made from this material can slide between the door and the frame. If you slide it over the latch, you can open the door.

Our MICA cards are extremely flexible and strong. This makes them perfect for this simple trick to open doors:

  • Extreme flexibility – they can handle the sharp corners of a door and frame
  • Extreme strength – they do not break, tear, or crack when pressing the lock

Opening a Door with a Card

The ‘credit card trick’, or flipping, is a well-known technique from the numerous bypass tools available. You’ve probably seen it in movies. This technique works because many types of door hardware are sensitive to it. Flipping does not work on doors that open outward or doors secured with a night latch.

To open a door with a card, the card needs to be flexible. By pressing it in a slanted hook along the latch of the door handle, the card can open the door.

Always use both hands to perform the technique with the right control. The technique works if the door is not closed or adjusted correctly.

Tips for Flipper Cards

To open a door without damage, you can apply various techniques. The flipper cards from Lockpickings should be used creatively between the door and the frame. Read our tips for optimal use.

  1. Tip 1: Insert the flipper card at a 45-degree angle into the door. This makes flipping easier.
  2. Tip 2: Need more force? Fold the card in half to make it twice as thick.
  3. Tip 3: Spray some WD-40 or other lubricant on the card to reduce friction between the door and frame.
  4. Tip 4: Push against the door while using the card to flip. Just be careful not to fall into the house when it opens!
  5. Tip 5: Round the corner of the card so that it can be used more effectively.

Frequently Asked Questions about Flipper Cards

You can secure your door against shimming by installing and using a good night latch. Sometimes you may not be able to install a night latch. Add a strip to the frame that prevents the flipper card from fitting between the door.
