Everything you want to learn about lockpicking in a handy case. The Night School Tuxedo Edition comes with seven lockpicks, six tension wrenches, three special “cut-away” practice locks, and a case.

The lockpick set is a luxury version of the Tuxedo set, as it comes standard with Sparrows’ special thermo handles. The Cut-Away locks are all designed for left-handed people. They are milled in such a way that you can see the chambers containing the pins while picking the lock. The design of these locks looks different from what you are used to with regular locks, but they function exactly the same as any other pin cylinder lock. The cut-away practice locks have standard pins, serrated pins, and spool pins. Under the English name, these special pins are somewhat better known. The Spool and Serrated pins are very advanced security pins. Through the milled-out part, you have a sort of window through which you can see the pins while you are engaged in lockpicking. Store this set in the case where on the left side there is a double flap to store the items, with even some extra space. The right side has 4 pockets to carry the locks. Sparrows has taken into account the needs of lockpicking professionals. The Cut-Away Practice Locks can therefore be used with the Reload Kit, Master Key set, and the Check Pins. With this kit, you can upgrade the locks to 6-pin locks or use special security pins. Also acquire the Sparrows Pinning Tweezers so you can easily grab and place these small components. These special tweezers have a rounded tip that allows you to easily grip the small round pins.

Technical Terms

The “Best Buster” is an alternative design for the traditional “Snake Rake”. This rake is very effective on many different locks but is specifically made for locks where the pins have a flat profile.
The “Triple Peak” is used with a pulling motion and is one of the most effective rakes available. This rake is different from most rakes because it creates a “bump” that is very similar to bump keys. This lockpick is very similar to the “Double Peak”.
The “Small Half Diamond” is applicable to the pins of locks where normal Hook lockpicks are not applicable, by acting as a sort of wedge. The Half Diamond wedges itself under, and sometimes alongside, the pins that are placed too low, allowing the traditional Hook to come underneath.
The “Offset Hybrid” is a combination of a Shallow Hook and a rounded Half Diamond. The wedge-like tip and the specially rounded edges glide through the keyhole. This lockpick serves as a support point in your set, and you will find that this lockpick makes extremely fine and controlled movements. This is crucial in, for example, ASSA locks.
The “Short Hook” (also known as “Lifter”) is one of your first choices from your lockpick arsenal. This pick is the most versatile and most used lockpick available. This Hook lockpick is designed to let the lockpicker feel the nuances with every metal pin in the lock. This lockpick can also be used with a rake technique, allowing you to set multiple pins at the same time. This lockpick is applicable to many different keyholes and pin profiles.
The “City Rake” is a well-known rake that has proven to be indispensable in every lockpick set. This lockpick is fantastic for manipulating the most common commercial and residential lock pin profiles.

All lockpicks are made by Sparrows using only American 301 Cold Max steel that can withstand a pressure of 280,000 PSI. Available in left and right-handed options – This determines on which side the viewing window is cut out. If you hold a lockpick or pencil in your left hand, choose the left option.“
