Sparrows Traveler Hook Large

A Traveler Hook, sometimes called a Shrum tool, is used to bypass spring latches – including latches with anti-shim protection, which a shim card cannot open. It does not open a deadbolt that has been locked with the key. This tool is almost always used on doors that open towards you and where you can reach the door frame.

This long version of the Traveler Hook is designed to get past latch guard plates that are fitted to stop this type of bypass. The more compact Sparrows Traveler Hook Standard is sold separately.

It can also be used to disassemble, re-key, repair or reassemble locks.
All in all, a very useful tool.

Only use bypass tools on doors and locks you own or have explicit permission to open.
