This is a 40mm lock from ABUS, the 72/40. This lock from ABUS is known for having two different versions, one European and one American. This is the European version of the ABUS 72/40 with a paracentric key profile.

One of the problems with the American version of the 72/40 is that you can quickly bypass the locking mechanism with an bypass tool.

The European version of the lock has a tighter keyhole, than the keyhole of the American version (which has the name ABUS in the keyhole). Without Bypass tricks, you can also lockpick the lock with a standard hook and bottom of the keyway tension.
